The Green Awards 2009 open for entries

The Green Awards 2009 has been launched by Minsiter John Gormley.

At the launch the minister extolled the job creation potential of green enterprises saying, “In the present economic environment we need entrepreneurs and their innovation and drive more than ever, but in particular, we need them in green industry”.

“..I encourage entrepreneurs to look to the renewable and environmental sector for business opportunities, not just because it makes sense for society, but because there is money in it too,” he said.

This year the awards will have two new categories - Green SME and Green Entrepreneur.
